OBITUARY- KATERINA BLECHA
Katerina Petrasek was born in Piskov Lhoty Proba July 8, 1857 and came to America with her parents, two brothers and two sisters, when she was 14 years old and lived with them near Humboldt until she was united in marriage to Vaclav Blecha on July 28, 1873.
For a short time they made their home near Table Rock, later they moved to a homestead near Jennings, Kansas but returned in three years to a farm near Table Rock, where they lived until Vaclav passed away on April 18th 1920.
She continued to make her home with her son Louis and his wife, who lovingly cared for her during her long illness. She passed from this life June 23rd, 1930, having reached the age of 73 years, 11 months and 15 days. She leaves to mourn their lose nine children, Frank F. of Table Rock, Joe of Lincoln, Annie Slama of Los Angeles, California, Bertha Briant of Table Rock, Charles of Denver, Colorado, Fred M.. of Nebraska City, Louis R. of Table Rock, Benjamin F. of Tipton, California; one sister Mrs. Annie Kohn of Seneca, Kansas. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Three children preceded her in death, Mary, Emma and John W. She was a member of J.C.D. and C.S.P.S. of Humboldt and the Z.C.B.J. of Table Rock.
Funeral services were conducted from the home last Wednesday afternoon. Rev. O.J. Kreuger in charge. Burial in the Bohemian cemetery east of DuBois.
