Elwood L. PIERATT, 72, Rt. 4, Rochester, died at 2 a.m. Thursday at his residence. Born Dec. 26, 1911 in Maytown, Ky., to Clay and Minnie WARD PIERATT, he had lived for 64 years in Fulton and Miami counties. He was married in December 1947 to Bertha KELLER, who died July 10, 1979. He was retired from Rochester Metal Products and from farming. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Irene) HUNTER and Mrs. Van (Helen) KELLY, both of Rochester; three brothers, Ward NICKELL, Bringhurst, Ind.; Harvey NICKELL, Rochester, and Bill NICKELL, Logansport, and nieces and nephews. A brother, Omer [PIERATT], died in 1983. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Rev. Teal YOUNCE officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, where the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until time of services Sunday.
