      • !DIED: Lee died in World War II, during the battle of Salerno, while inthe US Navy on the ship USS Buck, 1943 from Lynn Blecha, Sept 1996.

        !BORN: Eaton, Clark County, WI, Vol 10 pg 93, from personal visit to the Clark County Records in Neillsville, WI, June 1995, by Rosemarie and Jerry Konoske Lee was the second born of the twins. Born in the family house on Borgland Ave.

        !BURIED: At sea, memorial head stone has name on it at the Greenwood [Public] Cemetery, Greenwood WI, with mother, father and sister. Personal visit in May, 1996 by Jerry and Rosemarie Konoske. Lee was born in the Town of Eaton on April 25, 1915 to Mr. & Mrs. Frank Blecha. His father passed away Dec. 26,1918. Soon after the death of his mother on Oct. 6, 1925, he & his two siblings went to live with his mother's sister & husband, Jim & Clara Metcalf. He graduated from Greenwood High in 1933. He enlisted January 10,1942 and served as a Ship's Cook Second Class. He was on the U.S.S. Buck when it was torpedoed and sunk south of the Isle of Capri in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Lee went down with his ship.
