      • On Jan's death record, it says that he was a "vymenkar". I asked Jan Zajicek for a translation. He stated that this has the meaning of being a "senior citizen" or "pensioner". The old man handed management of his economy to an offspring (or son), in exchange for the agreement that they would take care of him, and that he'd have rights for housing, food and other options.

        It also said that he was from Prasny Ujezd. We know that he was born near Kladruby. Jan Zajicek explained that Kladruby was actually under the jurisdiction of Prasny Ujezd. So, it's the same area.

      Cut from the cadastral map from 1839, homestead Kladruby 30, "Suchomelka". In establishing the cadastral map was plotted under village Ujezd. Here for a time lived Franc or Frantisek, Blecha, born. March 6, 1792 in Hlince 6 and dies August 7 1860 in Podmokly 46. Here is where most of his children were born.

      • From the birth records of his children we learned that Jan Blecha was born in Suchomelka by Kladruby as the son of Frantisek Blecha from Prasný Újezd and Anna Bornová from Bujesily. First we looked for the birth record of Jan. As mentioned before, Suchomelka was a small hamlet near Kladruby. Kladruby belonged to the parish district of Hresihlavy.
