  • Sarah Or Sally O'DANIEL[1]

    Female 1783 - Aft 1860  (78 years)

Personal Information    |    Sources    |    Event Map    |    All    |    PDF

    • Name Sarah Or Sally O'DANIEL  [2
Born 1783  Duplin County, North Carolina Find all individuals with events at this location  [2, 3, 4
      • Finding a birth date has been challenging:

Originally, I put her birth date as before 1775 because she is listed as over 45 in the 1820 Census, but that is before the marriage of her parents.

Then using the range from the 1840 census of between 40-49 (i.e. birth between 1800-1791) I narrowed the range of her birth year to 1790-1794

However, two final pieces of information placed her birth at about 1783. The 1850 census would place her birth in about 1783, and the death record in 1859 would also place it at 1783. That is what I have chosen to use.

      • Again, this was confusing. Two death records were posted on Ancestry.com, the original was hard to read. So, the transcription for the record stated death in Dec 1859, but the index stated Dec 1860. However, because the death record is for Chatham County, I no longer believe that the death record is for this Sarah.
