      • Birth record of Frantisek Blecha
According to birth records of Frantisek Blecha and Anna Bornová's children, Frantisek's father, Matej Blecha, came from Hlince village. We expected his son Frantisek was born there around 1792. Hlince was a part of Chríc? parochial district. Based on this information we found Frantisek's birth record:

Parish register of Chríc No. 1, book of baptisms, 1786-1819
        Page: 5
        Date of birth: -
Date of baptism: Mar 6, 1792
Place and house number: Hlince No. 6

Godparents: + Lukass Jakubka, steward from Dubjany*; Anicka Czeithamlowa
        Language: Czech

*Dubjany = this village no longer exists today

In several birth records of Frantisek Blecha's children, his mother is stated as Anna Brouková, but in Frantisek's own birth record is mentioned Anna Kounovská. We are inclined to accept the latter one as his real mother.

Marriage record of Frantisek Blecha and Anna Bornová
In the past and according to the ecclesiastical rules, marriages were performed in the parish district of the bride. Since Anna Bornová came from Bujesily, we found the marriage record of her and Frantisek Blecha in the parish registers of Liblín, where Bujesily village had belonged to.

Parish register of Liblín No. 11, book of marriages, 1806-1836
        Page: 56-57

From Jan Blecha's birth record in 1827:
From the birth records of his children we learned that Jan Blecha was born in Suchomelka by Kladruby as the son of Frantisek Blecha from Prasný Újezd and Anna Bornová from Bujesily. First we looked for the birth record of Jan. As mentioned before, Suchomelka was a small hamlet near Kladruby. Kladruby belonged to the parish district of H?e?ihlavy. There we detected Jan's birth record:

        Birth record of Jan Blecha
Parish register of Hresihlavy No. 2, book of baptisms, 1807-1829
        Leaf: 115v-116r

        Midwife: Anna Belschan from Kladruby
        Language of record: German

In the record below, Jan is listed as being from House #46 in Podmokle, but I've learned that this only means that he was living in House #46 at the time of Vaclav's and Frantisek's birthdates. However, later information shows that he came from another village.

From Vaclav's baptism record (as well as other children) [This establishes his death date as prior to Oct. 29, 1858]

Parish register of Zvíkovec No. 4, book of baptisms
        Leaf: 148-149r
Date of birth: Oct. 29, 1858
Date of baptism: Oct. 30, 1858
        Baptizing priest:
        Name of a child: Vaclav
        Religion: Catholic
        Gender: male
        Legitimate
Place and house number: Podmokly No. 46
        Midwife:
Father: Jan Blecha, houser at Podmokly No. 46, son of Frantisek Blecha (deceased), houser from Podmokly, and Anna Sommerova from Podmokly.
Mother: Annastasie Hulka, daughter of Jan Hulka (deceased), houser from Podmokly No. 46, and Maria Richderova from Podmokly No. 40
        Godparents:
        Language of record: Czech

[On my folder that I used when I researched in Plzen on May 23, 2010, I wrote that Frantisek was the son of Joseph, but I do not know where that came from now.][This appears to be wrong given the new research received in February 2011]

From Frantisek's birth record, updated in 2011:

Parish register of Zvíkovec No. 4, book of baptisms, 1850-1868
        Page: 238-239
Date of birth: Oct 7, 1860
Date of baptism: Oct 8, 1860
Baptizing priest: Josef Dvorák, parish priest
        Name of a child: FRANTISEK
        Religion: Catholic
        Gender: male
        Legitimate
Father: Jan Blecha, tenant from Podmokly No. 46, son of + Franti?ek Blecha from Suchomelka by Prasný Újezd, and Anna Bornová from Bujesily
Mother: Annastasie, daughter of + Ján Hulka, tenant from Podmokly No. 46, and Marie Richterowa from Podmokly No. 46
Place and house number: Podmokly No. 46
Godparents: Václav Tjsl, tenant from Podmokly No. 53; Anna Hulkowa from No. 33, housekeeper at parsonage
Midwife: Johana Thorowa from Zvíkovec, examined
        Language of record: Czech
        * Though the spelling of the month looks like "?íjna" (= October), actually it is "r??na" (= June). R??en is an older term used for ?erven = June, it was used mostly during the period of Czech National Revival (second half of 19th century)
**Suchomelka was a small hamlet east of Kladruby

Later on the birth record of Adolf and Rudolf, Frantisek's home is listed as Suchomekla by Kladruby, and Anna Bornaova' is listed as being from Bujesily, Kralovice district.
      • I had originally listed Frantisek's death date as before Oct. 29, 1858, because on the birth record for Vaclav, it states that Vaclav's father is Jan, the son of deceased Frantisek. However, the records from Jan Zajicek give a definitive death date of Aug. 7, 1860.
