- Story about Joe McDaniel, his father Joseph Frank and Charlie McDaniel as told by Nancy McDaniel Dickey.
I thought that you might get a kick out of a McDaniel story. After my grandfather, Joe Frank McDaniel, died my dad gave the striped trousers and Mackinaw jacket that J F wore a lot to his brother, Charlie. One day while we were at home eating lunch, my dad got a frantic call from the owner of the local drug store telling my dad that he needed to get to the store right away as his father, Joe Frank, had just walked into the drug store!! My dad scurried up to the drug store, only to find Charlie browsing the store wearing the striped trousers and Mackinaw jacket! The resemblance must have been pretty great.
