      • "Leander (called Lee) brought his family to Kansas in 1881, settling in Coffey County, where he farmed for a number of years. On January 11, 1905, He moved to Neodesha in Wilson County and entered into the grocery business with his sons. He also worked at the Standard Oil Company in Neodesha. He was a member of the Christian Church, the I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Modern Woodmen. In 1925, he and his wife celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with all of their children and grandchildren present." [3]
